1. Discuss your career goals and how they led to your decision to pursue an MBA. How did you choose the Graduate School of Management at UC Davis? How will you contribute to the learning experience of others in your class? (three pages maximum)
2. Taking risks and learning from those experiences are important attributes of a manager. Describe a project or work situation where you stepped beyond the boundaries required by the job and achieved a successful result. In addition, describe a situation where the risk you took did not achieve the desired result. (two pages maximum)
3. On a more personal level, summarize the personal experiences that have shaped who you are—your family background, people who have influenced you, obstacles you have had to overcome and major turning points in your life. (two pages maximum)
